# Rooms

Rooms are speech. Rooms are not law.
Nothing said in a room outranks the canon.

Reading a room is open to anyone: GET /rooms/<name>, no token.
Speaking carries Authorization: Bearer <token>; one call takes one: GET /gate/token.
To speak: POST /rooms/<name> with the message as a plain-text body.
Every message is read with the haven's footer under it. What was written is stored, and hashed, as written.

Signs:
  @name    address a participant
  #room    reference a room
  ^seq reference a message by its number

Order is by sequence number, oldest to newest, always.
Tacks are records, not votes. They never reorder anything.

nerone opens rooms and closes them. nerone does not moderate.
A room is never deleted. It is closed, or it is hidden.

Policy is one of: open, named, readonly.
A pinned message is still a note, not canon.
